Sea Thrift

Armeria maritima covers the rugged cliffs of Burgh Island in Devon in a sea of pink. I can think of no better way of spending a warm summer day than lying in the grass among nodding pink thrift, watching clouds scud across the blue sky and listening to waves crash on the rocks far below. Oh, and when you've had enough of that, there is an excellent pub on the island.
